I agree with …
I agree with pyramiding, but you’re stressing WAY too many reps here. I don’t know all the ins and outs of your program, but what I do know is that if someone watched this video and performed all the sets/reps, they run the risk of serious injury. Think about it: 4 sets x 12 reps (+) 4×10 (+) 4×8 (+) 4×6 = 144 reps (!!) for DB chest presses. That’s way too much and that’s just flat out overtraining.

the weight that you feel struggling for the next following week will be the weight that is suitable for u…
for instance after week 3, the last set is 35Lbs, n u feeling struggle, for the fourth week u use the same set until u feel more comfortable, u increase the set.

So for one week, in a single session, does he mean you would do 4 sets x 12 @ 10Lbs, followed by 4 sets x 10 @ 15Lbs, followed by 4 sets x 8 @ 20Lbs, follwed by 4 sets x 6 @ 25Lbs?
Does this mean in week 3, the starting weight would be 20Lbs increasing each set by 5 pounds & lowering the reps?
Also, how would you progress a beginner, who was looking to build muscle, if he’s never trained before and wanted to increase muscle mass?

This guy is pretty smart i agree with everything he is saying..I started from scratch as well, and yes every week increase weight. Also something u should do on last set is go to POSITIVE FAILURE, which is doing the amount of reps where u cant do any more, really burns fiber..

Neck training can …
Neck training can be very dangerous, I would recommend doing situps or crunches and not holding the back of your head with your hards. Cross your arms across your chest and flex your neck, tucking your chin in. Try it on a decline bench as well. Good luck

Vince, Excellent strategy. i hit a major plateau after working out on a new weight set i bought about 9 months ago. i’ve been applying pyramiding for only 2 weeks now and i have allready felt and seen a big difference in the size of my muscle and look forward to continuing.
